Pamela A. Hall, age 73, of Lottsburg and formerly of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Aileen Adams and Henry Bryant Adams.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Samuel A. Hall, III; her two sons, Samuel A. Hall, IV (Katherine) of Richmond, Virginia and Russell Bryant Hall (Rita) of Clemmons, North Carolina. She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren, Christopher Brooks Hall and Anne Carrington Hall of Richmond, and Russell Bryant Hall, Jr. and Skyler Grace Hall of Clemmons, North Carolina. Pam is also survived by the family cat, Mr. Riley.
Pam graduated with honors from Westhampton College (The University of Richmond) in 1965. She was elected a member of Phi Betta Kappa in August of that year. She was a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
After graduation Pam taught Latin at George Wythe High School, Douglas Southall Freeman High School, and the Steward School, all located in Richmond.
Upon retirement she and Sam moved to their home on the Yeocomico River in May of 2000.
A memorial service will be held at Melrose United Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017, with a reception following. Interment will take place the following day, Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Pam’s name to the Northumberland County Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 305, Heathsville, VA 22473.
