Obituary for Mildred Louise Sanford (Marks)

Mildred Louise Marks Sanford, 93, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. She was the widow of Carroll Muse Sanford and was also predeceased by her daughter, Aunt Lee Sanford and her grandson, Ross Shackelford. She was a member of Nomini Baptist Church, Templemans. She is survived by her daughter, Mildred S. Self and son-in-law, Norris Self; her sons, and Carroll M. Sanford Jr. and his wife, Peggy and F. Bobby Sanford and his wife, Stephanie; granddaughter, Mildred Lee Sanford-Dyke, her husband, Brian and their children, James “JB,” Andrews and Lucy; and granddaughter, Terry Gordon and her son, Kris.
Visitation 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross
Services will be held Tuesday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Nomini Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Nomini Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, c/o Gil Balderson, P.O. Box 186, Montross. VA 22520.
