Obituary for Virginia Elizabeth Lawson (Lewis)
Virginia "Elizabeth" Lawson, age 99, of Sharps, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Lewis and Annie Lee Sanders Lewis; her husband, Vincent Lawson, U. S. Navy (Ret.); and special friend, Joyce Bailey.
Elizabeth is survived by two first cousins, Alice Jean Tate, who has been her caregiver for 5 years, and JoAnne Boroughs.
Elizabeth served in the United States Navy as a nurse for 2 ½ years, and later worked for various hospitals in the Pennsylvania area. She was a devoted member of Milden Presbyterian Church.
A celebration of life will be held at Milden Presbyterian Church on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m..
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
