Obituary for Doris Jamison Croxton

Doris Jamison Croxton, age 96, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was born in Covington, Virginia, on September 18, 1926, to Warner and Virginia Jamison. She was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Doris was a self-employed Beautician and she retired from Potomac Supply Corporation in Computer Operations. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by them. Everybody in the family affectionately called Doris “Ganny.”

Doris is survived by her sons, Richard Warren Croxton (Karen) of Gloucester, and Bradley Warner Croxton (Susan) of King William; grandchildren, Warren H. Croxton, Glynncarynn H. Croxton, Garrett R. Croxton, Jamison B. Croxton (Brianna), and Jacqueline C. Lane (Noah); great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Bruce Croxton, Hannahlynn Elizabeth Croxton, Abigail Lea’Ann Croxton; Clarabelle Ashby Lane, and Jamison Daniel-Paul Croxton; and numerous nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Warner C. Jamison and Virginia D. Jamison; her beloved husband, Warren Rudolph Croxton; and her siblings, Warner Jamison, Jr., James L. Jamison, Buford “Barry” Jamison, and Thelma Marie Landis, and their spouses.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Totuskey Baptist Church with Richard and Brad Croxton officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Totuskey Baptist Church.
