Obituary for Michael Jett "Mike" King
Michael Jett “Mike” King, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. He was born in Richmond, Virginia, on November 16, 1958, to Luther Jett King and Malvania Agnes King. He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church.
Mike was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation where he worked on the sign crew. In his spare time, he loved playing slots at the casino in New Kent. He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed building many things.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Janice Evans King; his mother, Mally King; a son, Kyle King and his wife, Maggie; a grandchild, Madison; and a brother, Marshall King, his wife, Angela, and daughter, Celene.
He was preceded in death by his father, L. T. King.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Ed King officiating.
