Obituary for Richard Allen "Dickie" Walker
Richard Allen “Dickie” Walker, age 82, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was born in Lorton, Virginia, on June 6, 1940, to William Macon and Edith Virginia Walker.
After 20 years of service, Dickie retired from Fairfax County as a Truck Driver. He loved antique tractors and cars, especially his ’48 Ford Pickup. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved gardening. Dickie was a Tinkerer and could fix almost everything. His greatest love was his family, and he will be dearly missed by them.
Dickie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Walker; daughters, Kayla Walker Fowler (Ronald) and Kimberly Amanda Walker; grandson, Sean Walker-Hall; niece, Karen DeFriez; and nephew, Gregory Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel in Warsaw with the Reverend Danny Maupin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
