Obituary for Nancy Thomas Fisher
Nancy Wallace Thomas Fisher, 75, of Lewisetta, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Nancy was born at Cypress Farm in Lewisetta to the late David Chase Thomas, Sr. and the late Grace Louise Wallace Thomas. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to Samuel Atlee Fisher, Sr.
Nancy enjoyed a long and successful career as a realtor with Shore Realty, Inc. She loved where she lived and pairing people with the perfect home for them in the Northern Neck was something she did so intuitively and with so much love. A truly creative person, Nancy cultivated stunning flower and herb gardens at her and Sam’s home on the water; she was a talented watercolorist and loved to paint. Above all, however, Nancy cherished her family. A devoted wife and mother to her husband and children, a dear friend to her siblings, and the biggest supporter and fan of her grandchildren, Nancy radiated love in all that she did. She was a bright light to all who knew her, and she will be missed immensely.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam; her loving sons Samuel A. Fisher, Jr. (Dawn) and David Keith Fisher, Sr. (Tori); her grandchildren: Keith Fisher, Jr., Samantha Fisher, Kyle Fisher, Chase Fisher, Willow Fisher, Ryan Fisher, and Louise Fisher; her siblings: David C. Thomas, Jr. (Anne), Helen Smith, and Betty Osburn (Bev); her daughter-in-law Iris Fisher; and nieces and nephews: Shannon Vanderberg (Ryan), Gordon Smith, Katherine Smith, Elizabeth Clark (Michael), and Ann Kramer Stinchcomb (Cory). Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her nephew Ryan Thomas and her niece Jena Thomas.
A celebration of life for Nancy will be held at a date that will be announced shortly and will be posted here on the Welch Funeral Home website. Please check back for this information.
