Obituary for Janice Louise Bullis (Gilliam)
Janice (Gilliam) Bullis, 63, of Fayetteville, NC, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 12, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Janice was born to Milburn and Jean Gilliam at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. She graduated from W&L High School and received her associate’s degree at Rappahannock Community College. She retired from Walmart with over thirty years of service.
Janice is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harry Spencer Bullis, IV. She also leaves behind a son, Harry Spencer Bullis, V, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, a sister, Debby Barnes (David), of Pikeville, NC, a brother, Robert Gilliam (Carolyn), the world’s best father-in-law, Harry Spencer Bullis, III, a sister-in-law, Mary Childress (Bryan), of Conway, SC, and brothers-in-law Larry Bullis (Kathy) and Gary Bullis (Carolyn), along with nieces and nephews who adored her.
Janice will be missed in her community of Fayetteville where she was a ray of light at Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center, and at the Ft. Bragg food bank where she was an avid donor, as well as in her sister’s community in Pikeville, NC, where she was well served by Community Hospice of Goldsboro.
Her funeral service will be held at Welch Funeral Home- Montross Chapel on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:00 am , with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Pastor Jimmy Reamy will officiate. Graveside service will immediately follow at Pope’s Creek Baptist Church.
