Obituary for Henry Hall Revere Jr.

Henry Hall Revere, Jr., 73, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Henry was the son of the late Henry Hall Revere, Sr., and the late Rena Dawson Revere. He was a 1968 graduate of Rappahannock High School where he set many high school records in baseball, basketball, and track. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War onboard the USS Constellation aircraft carrier from 1969 to 1973. He retired from the United Parcel Service In 2012.

Henry was a very kind, generous, and loving man and would do anything to help anyone. He enjoyed having neighbors and friends hang out in his garage, firing up the woodstove, and talking about the good old days. He was a very patriotic man and loved sharing memories of his Navy days and his travels from the USS Constellation's homeport at San Diego, California to the Subic Bay in the Philippines, as well as the Gulf of Tonkin in Vietnam. He also spent time In Bremerton, Washington, while In the Navy.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons: Jonathan Bradley Revere of Warsaw, and Elliott Braxton Revere (Sarai) of Hanover; and his grandson whom he adored: Landen Bryce Revere. He also leaves behind two devoted sisters: Lynn Settle (Glenn), and Peggy Bareford (Donald Ray), and his friend and former wife, Jane Revere. Henry will be dearly missed by all, including many nieces and nephews, as well as other dear friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Leslie Park officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at the Warsaw Baptist Church Cemetery
