Obituary for Edith Davison (Kidd)
Edith Kidd Davison, 96, of Montross, passed into eternity on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
She was preceded by her beloved husband, John R. Davison, III, her oldest son, J.R. Davison, her parents, Dr. and Mrs. C.O. Kidd, her sister, Shirley K. Hathway and many dear friends and relatives.
For thirty years after retirement from Fairfax Virginia School System she served her community as a member of Andrew Chapel UMC, the Board of Stratford Harbour, Commander of USCG Aux 3-10, Hospice, and Northern Neck Free Health Clinic.
She is survived by a son, Daryl H. Davison of Montross, a daughter, Linda C. Davison of Bridgeport, CT, four grandchildren: Eric S. Davison of Bristow, Tara N. Wood of Chantilly, Heather C. Horn of Portland, OR and Travis A. Haynes, US Air Force, their spouses and children. There are eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Georgiana Gray of Virginia Beach. Left to remember her fondly are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Services will be held at Andrew Chapel UMC Montross, VA at 11 am on Friday, September 23, 2022 with interment following in the church cemetery.
