Obituary for Barbara Catherine Phillips (Dyson)
Mrs. Barbara Catherine Phillips, age 88, of Farnham, Virginia, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1934 to the late Robert and Gladys Dyson. Barbara was the widow of Wallace (Pete) Phillips.
Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers, crafts, and helping others.
Barbara is survived by her children: Robert Phillips (Angel) of Abingdon, Virginia, Russell Phillips (Robin) of Warsaw, Virginia, Betty Broyles (Braxton) of Farnham, Virginia, and Bridgett Reid of Bowie, Maryland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Diana Custer (Kenneth) and her husband Pete Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at Farnham Baptist Church on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Rodney Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m at Welch Funeral Home- Marks Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Support Services of the Northern Neck, 28 St. Johns Street, Warsaw, Virginia 22572.
