John Glen Allen, 46, of Warsaw passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021, after a long-fought battle with Covid. Glen was born to the late Shirley M. Allen and the late Raymond F. Allen, Sr. He was currently employed as the Grocery Manager of the Food Lion grocery store in Heathsville.

In Glen’s spare time he loved spending time watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys, playing poker, golfing, and listening to Keith Urban. He also loved his cats Rocky (Rock-Rock), Witten (Woo), Luna (Lu-Lu), and Bear (Bear-Bear).

He is survived by his three children: Tiffany Renee Allen, Kaitlyn Nicole Allen, and Brantley Bryce Allen; his brothers Raymond “Ray” F. Allen, Jr. and Joseph Michael “Mike” Allen, life-long friend John “Pete” Welch; his lifetime companion Tiffany Robinson; his nieces, his nephew; many friends; and his work family.

A memorial service for Glen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Welch Funeral Home Marks Chapel. The Reverend Willard Bowen will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to honor Glen’s love of animals to the Richmond County Animal Shelter. The family and the Welch Funeral Home also ask that all guests wear masks in order to keep our community and loved ones safe.
