Paul Anthony Self, 56, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. Paul was born November 19th 1965 to Motley Booker Sr. and Katherine Joann Self. Paul grew up in Oak Grove Virginia and graduated from Washington and Lee High School in Montross Virginia. After graduation he began working at the local A&P Grocery store, before embarking on what would be his career with Food Lion. He began his career in an area Food Lion, working up to a manager in the Grocery department. He worked at the King George Food Lion in this capacity until his passing.

Paul enjoyed golfing, playing cards, taking day trips to area casinos and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Paul is survived by brother Fred “Happy” (Angie) Self of Westmoreland county Virginia, sister Katherine Lynne (Steve) Jenkins of King George county; sister-in-law Peggy Self of Hague Virginia; three nephews Sgt. Danny Gill Jr., Lee Jenkins and Danial Jenkins, one niece Britney Bowman 5 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, brothers Motley Booker (MB) Self and Michael Self and niece Ashley Self Ramirez.

Paul was a wonderful person had the greatest sense of humor, and will be missed by many family and friends.

A graveside service for Paul will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Historyland Memorial Park.
