Obituary for Dominick Anthony Scalici

Dominick Anthony Scalici, age 93, of Callao, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born on Staten Island, New York, on June 11, 1927 to Joseph Paul and Marion Pallandino Scalici.

Dominick was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and a Veteran of the Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant. After serving in military, Dominick was employed as a printer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. In his spare time, Dominick loved crabbing, fishing, and hunting. A kind and generous gentleman, Dominick loved all people and enjoyed lending a helping hand. Most of all, he loved and cherished his family and always put their needs above his own. He will be dearly missed by them.

Dominick is survived by sons, Joseph Scalici and Carl Scalici (Susan); a daughter, Rosemary Whiteside (Scott); nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Scalici, Richard Scalici, and Carl Scalici.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Marie Scalici.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on May 4, 2021 at Quantico National Cemetery.

Those attending the service are asked to wear masks and social distance. Those exhibiting symptoms should not attend.
