Obituary for Edward Earl Moring

Edward Earl Moring, age 91, of Reedville, passed away on April 18, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1930 in Durham, North Carolina to Raymond and Mary Moring.

He was veteran of the United States Navy and was the owner and operator of Petersburg Tile. Edward was known as a hard worker who took extreme pride in his craft. He had a love of the Chesapeake Bay and enjoyed fishing and boating. Edward always had a great upbeat attitude and cherished his friends and family, with his greatest love being his family. He will be dearly missed by them.

Edward is survived by his son, Edward Moring, Jr. (Olga); a brother, Roy Moring, sisters, Nancy Carmichael and Mildred Zahralban; step-grandchildren, Adam Cofner, Jarrett Cofner, and Dawn Welch; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley G. Moring; brothers, Bobby Moring and Raymond Moring, Jr; sister, Dorothy Best; and step-son, Steve Cofner.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park, in Prince George, Virginia.

Those attending the service are asked to wear masks and social distance. Those exhibiting symptoms should not attend.
