Obituary for Gladys Ann Heuer (Jones)
Gladys Jones Heuer passed away on April 4, 2021. She was born August 3, 1933 at Mount Holly. She had resided for several years in Fairfax County.
She was preceded by her parents, Ridgley and Elsie Jones; brother, Winstead Jones; and husband, Maj. (Ret.) Kenneth V. Heuer. She is survived by numerous cousins.
Mrs. Heuer graduated from Washington and Lee High School, Montross in 1950. She graduated from Mary Washington College of The University of Virginia (now University of Mary Washington) in 1954.
She was retired as a Social Worker from Fairfax County Department of Family Services. Prior to this, she held social work positions with the cities of Newport News and Hampton.
There will be a viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Welch Funeral Home-Montross Chapel on Friday, April 9, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Nomini Baptist Church Cemetery with burial to follow.
