Obituary for Gerald Raymond "Gerry" VanLandingham Sr.

Gerald Raymond “Gerry” VanLandingham, Sr., age 74, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born on October 25, 1946 to Giles C. and Gladys G. VanLandingham. He was a United States Marine Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Gerry was a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church.

He was a retired delivery driver for Amerigas. He was an avid coin collector and loved old time country music. Gerry was a very loving father and grandfather. Spending time with his granddaughters was his greatest joy. He always said they were the light of his life. He will be dearly missed by all.

Gerry is survived by his sons, Jason VanLandingham (Beth), Jordan VanLandingham, and Gerry VanLandingham, Jr; his grandchildren, Allie and Lia; his sister, Lisa V. Miles (David); nieces and nephews, Hillary Berhalter (Derek), Lindsey Martin, and Ryan Martin; great-nephew, Callaway Berhalter; and his former wife, Marian Mihalcoe.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Giles C. VanLandingham, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Welch Funeral Home Marks Chapel with Pastor Walker Gaulding officiating. Interment will follow the service at Warsaw United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.

Those attending the visitation and/or the service are asked to wear masks and social distance. Those exhibiting symptoms should not attend.
