I worked with Harriet on the Herbs Galore committee since 2006. She brought so much knowledge and history to the committee, not to mention she was fun to be around and had a wonderful laugh! This photo was taken back in 2007 when she managed the speaker series, checking in guests, introducing speakers, passing out handouts, collecting feedback forms, etc. Many years she was one of the last committee members to leave the Herbs Galore festival as she would stay to chat with vendors to ask about their day, how was their experience, did they have any suggestions, etc. She was a wonderful ambassador for the Herbs Galore festival. I will miss her greatly as will the others on the committee.
She also never forgot my birthday! Every year I would get an ecard or postal card from her. She never missed a year! I am sad and will miss my friend.
My condolences to the family. I last exchanged emails with Harriet at the end of February, so was very surprised to learn of her passing. If someone from the family would contact me when they have a chance I would appreciate it. I can be reached at Thank you. I hope Punkin is doing well.

Our condolences to Harriet's family and friends. We are so saddened by her death. It was a surprise to us! We've known Harriet since our first meeting at Maymont in October, 2003. We have kept in contact for a long time. She kept us informed about Maymont, her personal life, and especially about her buddy Punkin. Punkin used to survey the land with her late husband, John. Punkin kept her company and kept her entertained. She will be dearly missed! I, personally, will miss her wonderful correspondences and also her stories regarding Punkin and his adventures. (Could someone in the family such as Annette or Susan let me know how Punkin is doing? I would appreciate it ! email: )
