Obituary for Sharon Lee Chisolm

Sharon Lee Chisolm, 61, of Farnham, Virginia, passed away at her home on February 20, 2021.
She was born on February 3, 1960 in Havre De Grace, Maryland. Sharon was the eldest daughter of Richard “Dick” E. Webster and Edith Cecilia Collison. She was retired from her position as a Behavioral Therapist at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Maryland.

Sharon grew up in Harford County, Maryland and lived in a farmhouse with a coal stove, ringer washer and no indoor bathroom until age 12! Her faith in God was planted early in life going to St. Mary's Roman Catholic church in Pylesville, MD with her family of 8. After Mass, Sundays were spent visiting grandmom’s farm or Aunt Mary's house for a meal with relatives coming by to visit. It was almost a fairy tale, but life was tough after losing her mom to cancer in 1977. Sharon doted on and cared for her younger siblings who especially looked up to her after losing their mother. She was a devout born again Christian and loved her family and friends. She especially loved to babysit and spend time with her nieces and nephews! She loved eating steamed crabs and shrimp! Sharon loved animals and had a kitty named Lovey. Music was a must in her life, and she loved 70’s music – especially Carole King and John Denver. She loved to decorate for Xmas and was an artist too. Sharon pursued a degree at age 40 in drug and alcohol Counseling. Sharon worked at Sheppard Pratt hospital for a time helping children. Sharon did not rest in retirement; but instead spent the last 15 years feeding the hungry and disadvantaged. She was also a writer and published a book called "Ghost Writer (Recycled, Repurposed and Redeemed)”.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 14 years, John Chisolm; two brothers: Richard E. Webster and Joseph Webster; three sisters: Mary Brinegar, Anna Seymour, and Rita Webster; three nieces: Raven, Nicole and Kristen Webster; five nephews: Caelan, Domingo, and Cam Navarrete, Christopher and Jeremy Seymour; one great-niece Madeline Seymour; and two great-nephews Harrison Seymour and Riley Jacob Norris. Sharon was predeceased by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel on Friday, February 26th at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
