Catherine Ann Jordon Mullenax “Kitty”, age 80, died on February 11, 2021 at the home of her son, David, in Warsaw, Virginia. Kitty was a resident of Chesterfield County, living with her grandson, Marcus. She was born in Nelson County, Virginia to John S. Jordan and Inez F. Gentry. She was one of 12 brothers and sisters. Kitty was the widow of James R. Mullenax with whom she married on August 22, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia. Kitty’s favorite pastime was playing bingo and she was always looking forward to the next game.

Kitty is survived by her sons, David L. Mullenax and his wife, Darlene, Timothy W. Mullenax and his wife Harriet, and John J. Mullenax; grandchildren, James R. Mullenax, II, Marcus W. Mullenax, John J. Mullenax, Jr., David W. Mullenax, and Brittany Mullenax; seven great-grandchildren, including Maddie N. Mullenax and James R. Mullenax, III; five step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren; a sister Peggy G. Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks and gratitude goes to Marcus M. Mullenax, her grandson, for being a wonderful caregiver for many years. The family would also like to thank the team of Riverside Hospice for the love and support they gave.

Due to the COVID pandemic a service is not currently scheduled. Interment will be held at a later date.
