Obituary for Roy Stanley Bredder
Roy Stanley Bredder, 77, of Lottsburg passed away in his wife’s arms at home on Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey to the late Harold Stanley Bredder and Doris Marie Stiller Bredder. Roy was the husband of Julia Mary Lum Bredder.
Roy moved to the Northern Neck in 2003 with Julia and was a local attorney for many years, specializing in elder law and estate planning. Roy acquired his love of animals later in life. He loved his animal children, Jilly Bean, Zebedee, William, Goldie, and Nathaniel very much. He was especially proud of the small flock of sheep that he and Julia raised at their Old Quarter Farm.
Surviving him are his wife Julia; his sister June C. Berthelsen (Wayne); his brother Glenn A. Bredder (Mary Jane); his nieces Cheryl Beach (Matthew), Janice Shelley (Patrick), and Carolyn Berthelsen; his nephews Paul Bredder, Eric Bredder, and Conor Bredder; and his grand-nephews Luke Beach, Grant Beach, and Dylan Shelley. Roy was predeceased by his parents and his brother Donald P. Bredder.
