Obituary for Herbert Howard King

Herbert Howard King, age 72, of Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday December 22, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born on January 1, 1948 to Herbert Leslie King and Marie Ruth Harper King.

Herbert was a retired Butcher, working at various grocery stores throughout his career. He was a lifelong member of Totuskey Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and as the Outreach Director for Men’s II Sunday School. Herbert was an avid rabbit hunter and loved dogs, keeping many over the years. Herbert loved his family deeply, was so proud of his sons, and adored his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Wanda King; sons, Steven Patrick King (Sarah), Jason Howard King (Trisha), and Travis Scott King; grandchildren, Steven Logan King, Zachary Taylor King, and Colton Maddux King; his sister-in-law, Geneva Harris; and his loyal German Shepherd companion, Smokey.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents and his identical twin brother, Gilbert Leslie King.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December, 26, 2020 at Totuskey Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Dunaway officiating. The family requests that those attending wear masks and practice social distancing. Those exhibiting symptoms should not attend.
