Obituary for Sharon Lee Carter (Huber)

Sharon Lee Carter, born May 11, 1938 ended her bout with cancer and went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2020.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clifton; daughter, Pamela Ransom (Wes); sons, Preston (Darlene) and Scott (Karen). Loving grandmother to 13 and loving great grandmother to 19.
She is also survived by four sisters, Sally Sessions, Becky Snowball (Karl), Tricia Otis (Cliff), Lisa Bowerman (Rich) and brother, Lowell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Huber and sister, Mary Loosle.
She and her husband moved to Montross, VA in 1989 and owned/operated Elderly Treasures Antiques for many years. She also worked for a dozen years, 1970’s to 1980’s, as a Visual Merchandiser for Woodward & Lothrop, a department store based in Washington D.C.

She was a life long active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many callings over the years.

She loved working on family genealogy and searching for antiques at her favorite stops in Pennsylvania, including lunch at Peppercorns.

Our heartfelt thanks to dedicated, caring professional staff at Riverside Tappahannock Hospice for their service.

She will be greatly missed by many but none more than her faithful companion, Sugar.

The family will be holding a private graveside service in Maryland.
