Obituary for Rosalind Elaine Spratley (Rose)
Rosalind Elaine Spratley (Rose), 78 of Chesterfield, Va. died peacefully on August 31, 2020. She was the widow of Edwin B. Spratley.
Rose is survived by her daughter Darlene Mullenax (David) of Warsaw, Va. and son Ernest Spratley (Tammy) of Chesterfield, Va. She is also survived by her grandchildren James Mullenax ll (Jessica) of Warsaw, Marcus Mullenax, Henry and Kandis-Renee Spratley of Chesterfield. Also surviving her are her great-grandchildren Maddie and James Mullenax III; her sister Gwen Headley (George) of Callao, Va; and her brother Gary Rose (Nancy) of Smithfield, Va.
Rose worked at JC Penney for 38 years. She was active at the Sherbourne Church and the Bensley Civic Association. There will be a private graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Surry, VA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Sherbourne United Methodist Church at 2619 Sherbourne Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23237.
