Mrs. Embry was my idea of a perfect lady. all though I only knew her for a few years , when I was the postmaster at Sandy Point P.O., she was always very kind. I enjoyed see her and Mrs. Heddings at the Westmoreland Players together having a good time. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. Gwen Headley

Momma Embry: I have always been considered so blessed to have you and your family in my life. We have been through so much together. I truly felt like I was home from the moment that I met you. You continued to root for me in life when others did not. Your Christmas cards and little gifts throughout the years always meant so much to me. I still have them. I fondly remember Christmas with you, the trip to D.C. and Fredericksburg. My first car that I bought from Bill. Your car that I accidentally backed into when I didn't know that I went into Reverse. Happy sleepovers where you didn't yell at Megan or me for staying up too late while we played "Light as a Feather." Talks that we had about your father at your kitchen table. Watching you open gifts from your students at the school years' end. Most of all, I remember the love that you gave to everyone who you welcomed into your home. So many of us were outcasts or came from scary homes. You kept us fed. You even gave us clothes. You were the epitome of a good Christian. I love you so much. You were my mother when I needed one the most. Love, Megan Becker
