Obituary for Bonnie Bryant Clarke

Bonnie Bryant Clarke, 66, of Heathsville passed away at home on Friday, May 15, 2020 with her husband and son at her side. Bonnie was the daughter of Ross A. Bryant and Alice M. Hall Bryant and the wife of Steve Clarke. She retired after many years as a clerk for the Village Green Exxon in Callao and was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Bonnie is survived by her husband and her beloved son Jason Ray Clarke (Elizabeth Fones) of Hague, her granddaughters Brittany Clarke (Martin) and Lezlee Clarke (John) of Hague and an eagerly-awaited great-grandbaby coming in July. Bonnie is also survived by her brother Reuben Bryant of Callao, her sister-in-law Rose Hall (Robert) of Callao and her aide Kim Parrotte whose assistance and friendship made her illnesses infinitely more bearable.

Bonnie really enjoyed life. She worked very hard and when she came home she enjoyed relaxing with her crocheting and other crafts. Bonnie walked two miles a day, every day, until she was no longer able to. She adored her cat Lance and was also fond of yellow flowers. She loved her family dearly and her family loved her right back.

A private service will be held to lay Bonnie to rest in Bethany Church cemetery and the family asks that in lieu of flowers you honor Bonnie’s love for her church by making a donation in her name to Bethany Baptist Church, P.O. Box 641, Callao, VA 22435.
