Corrine Ray Bowen, age 87, of Farnham, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of George and Annie Dunaway.

Corrine was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church. She adored being outside and always kept a large garden, enjoyed growing vegetables and cooking. She was the epitome of a homemaker, always working hard on her home and making it a comfortable, loving place. Corrine absolutely loved going for a ride, frequently acting as Rebecca’s co-pilot and often enjoyed stopping at yard sales. Corrine also had a passion for reading and always looked forward to the local newspapers.

She is survived by her sons, Wesley Bowen (Shirley), Ricky Bowen (Margaret) and Benjamin Lee Bowen (Deb); Rebecca Marie Bowen (Brian Sprouse); her brothers, Norris Lee Dameron (Carolyn), William Dameron (Betty), and Edward “Bay” Dawson; and her sister, Shirley Wilson. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also had many nieces, nephews and other family members that she thought the world of.

Corrine was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia “Faye” Bowen.

Funeral services will be private.
