Obituary for Ferman Russell "Russ" Gordon Jr.

Ferman Russell “Russ” Gordon, Jr., age 82, of Farnham, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 with his loving family by his side.

Russ was a self-employed cabinet maker operating R&R Cabinets. He was an amazing “Jack of All Trades” and could fix anything. He loved his workshop and was a true perfectionist, taking pride in everything he crafted. Russ loved fishing and enjoyed his beloved cat, Boots. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him “Papa”. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie B. Gordon; his sons, Curtis Reid Gordon (Terry), Kenneth David Gordon, and Gary W. Lewis (Morgan); grandchildren, Michael David Gordon, Jarrett Reid Gordon, Curtis Brighton Gordon, Stacy M. Lewis, Brandy L. Lewis, and Kris Sanford; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Brenden, Justin, Jaden, Brianna, Jordan, and Lyric; a brother, Monte “Bud” Gordon; and a sister, Cindy Gordon Pope.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferman Russell Gordon, Sr. and Ann Irene Gordon; and his first wife, Ann Balderson Gordon.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel in Warsaw with Reverend Kori Kiss officiating. Interment will follow the service at Totuskey Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jarrett Reid Gordon, Curtis Brighton Gordon, Michael David Gordon, Kris Sanford, Keith Lowery, C.C. Burgess and Ricky Taylor.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
