Obituary for Harold Dean Delano Sr.

Harold Dean Delano, Sr. age 64, of Warsaw, passed away on March 2, 2020.

Harold was a Waterman, a lifelong Farmer, and enjoyed working in the slaughterhouse processing beef cattle. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, playing jokes on his close friends, and playing games with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed good food and home cooked family meals. Harold had a laugh that you could never forget and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Lewis Delano; a son, Harold Dean Delano, Jr; grandchildren, Savannah Leigh Delano, Connor Goodwin Delano and Addison Dare Delano; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wilkins Delano; a brother, Oscar Delano (Darlene); sisters, Doris Delano Montgomery (Pete) and Charlotte Delano Jenkins (George); brothers-in-law, Valton Hinton and Ronald Wayne Lewis; a sister-in-law, Jean Delano; numerous nieces, a nephew and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Virginia Delano; a brother Edward Delano; and a sister, Thelma Delano Hinton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel in Warsaw. Interment will follow the service at Cobham Park Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends starting at 12:30 p.m. until service time at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
