Obituary for Violet Estelle Mozingo (Coates)
Violet Estelle Coates Mozingo, passed away on February 20, 2020 at the age of 97.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, who was truly the love of her life. She was a faithful member of Totuskey Baptist Church and was one of twelve children. Violet was employed by Levi Strauss for many years. Cooking and sewing were her passions. She was truly a kind, caring person who was devoted to her family.
Violet is survived her son, Mel Mozingo and his wife, Jean of Mechanicsville; her daughter, Gladys Carter and her husband Bill of Mechanicsville; four grandsons, Jim, Doug, Chris and Scott; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February, 24, 2020 at Totuskey Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Care, 10800 Midlothian Turnpike, North Chesterfield, VA 23235.
