Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Dodson (Whittaker)
Mary Elizabeth Dodson, 79, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church and worked for Levi’s Strauss and Company for 42 years.
She is survived by her son, David L. Dodson, Jr. of Callao; three daughters, Marie Davis of Midlothian, Deborah Jones of Ashburn and Linda Withers of Hague; three sisters, Doris Nichols and Betty Odom both of Richmond, and Rachel Eubanks of Morgantown, WV; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and special friend, Earl Hayes.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, William Preston Whittaker and Josephine Cecil Whittaker and her husband, David Lee Dodson.
Mary was known to everyone in the Haynesville area and she welcomed everyone with open arms.
The family will be receiving friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home- Marks Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Totuskey Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
