Obituary for Jonathan LeRoy Minner
Jonathan LeRoy Minner, 82, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer for NWSC Dahlgren for 25 years. Family was the first and foremost important thing is his life but he also enjoyed boating, woodworking as well as trains and model airplanes.
Jonathan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gwendolyn Barlow Minner; two sons, Jeffrey Jonathan (Jennifer) Minner and Timothy Richard (Casey) and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kate.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Jonathan Minner and Mildred Virginia Parker Minner and his sister, Mildred Minner Warrington.
A celebration of Jonathan’s life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home-Montross Chapel with interment following at Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fredericksburg Christian School at 9400 Thornton Rolling Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 or Cople District Volunteer Fire Department at 123 Yeocomico Lane, Kinsale, VA 22488.
