Charles Roger Gallagher, 78, of Montross, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019. He was an attendant at Westmoreland County Transfer Station and a member of Providence United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Gallagher; parents, James Robert Gallagher and Alice Marks Gallagher; daughters, Patricia Gallagher Gupton and Dawn Gallagher; and brother, James Robert Gallagher. He is survived by sons, Charles Robert Gallagher of Village, VA; Roger Allen Gallagher of Henderson, NC and James Kyle Gallagher of Newport News, VA and daughter, Holly Gallagher of Montross. He is also survived by a sister, Connie Hynson (David) of Leedstown, VA and brothers, Dennis Wayne Gallagher and Douglas Wallace Gallagher (Linda) of Montross and grandchildren, Trace Gallagher, Connor Gallagher, Alayna Gallagher and Alice Gallagher.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lagerveld and Rev. Ray Tubbs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
