Obituary for Sarah Swann (Bray)
Sarah Bray Swann, 86, of Heathsville, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was a longtime church member of Smithland Baptist Church and retired from Northumberland County Schools in Food Services.
Sarah is survived by her two sons, Carlyle Swann (Marylyn) and Francis Swann (Terry); three daughters, Loretta King (Ed), Kathryn Klein (Frank) and Beverly Kiser (Ben); 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, George Franklin Swann; father, George B. Bray; mother, Geneva Lewis Bray; and siblings, Erwin Bray, Herbert Bray, Elaine Bray, and Eveline B. Travers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Smithland Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smithland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 25, Heathsville, VA 22473.
