Obituary for Waverly Fuller Jones

Waverly Fuller Jones, 84, formerly of Edwardsville and Mechanicsville, died on May 15, 2019 in Farham, VA. Born on December 24, 1934 in Stormont, Va, he is predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Lyda Jones and his oldest son, Everett Jones.

Waverly served in Korea for the U. S. Army and retired as Service Manager for Yates Business Systems after 30 years of service. His hobbies included building the four homes in which he and his family lived, making furniture and kitchen cabinets, and later collecting and restoring antique tractors.

He is survived by the love of his life, Katherine Coppedge Jones, his wife of 60 years; a daughter, Bonnie Revere (Bill), a son, Glenn Jones (Carrie) and four grandchildren: Mallory Revere, Brian Jones, Jessica Lawson (Gray), Emily Seifke (Boe), a brother, Carl Jones (Shelba), a sister, Blanche Edwards (Leon), three nephews and five nieces, and a brother-in-law, Tom Coppedge (Mary Sue).

A Memorial Service will be held at Cobham Park Baptist Church, Warsaw, VA on June 2, 2019 with the family receiving friends at 1:00 p.m., the Service at 2:00 p.m., and reception immediately following. Waverly requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Riverside Tappahannock Hospice, 289 Hospital Road, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
