Obituary for Betty Lou Winegar (Wilson)

Betty Lou Winegar, age 86, of Lottsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She was a retired bus driver for Prince William County Schools. Betty summered on the Northern Neck for many years until she and her husband, John retired and made Lottsburg their permanent residence, building their dream home on the water. Betty was an avid gardener who had a yard full of blooms. She was a big supporter of the Westmoreland Players, loved having her girls over to play cards and enjoy delicious treats. Betty was a loving and dedicated grandmother to her seven grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by a son, Brett Winegar of Palm Harbor, Florida; a daughter, Kelly Denise Hutchison and her husband Malden of Bull Gap, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jessica, Tad, Sayward, Amber, Brandon, Brionna, Alena and John.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John St. Clair Winegar and her parents, Robert and Pearl Wilson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with the Rev. Walter Winegar officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
