Obituary for Junior Lyell Mozingo
Junior Lyell Mozingo “Blue Bird”, age 76, of Callao, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was born on October 26, 1942 to Rhoda and Mary Louise Mozingo. Junior enjoyed hunting and was president of the Tri-City Hunt Club. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren tremendously.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Walker Mozingo; sons, Jeff Mozingo (Tracy), Elvis Mozingo (Pat), Jason Mozingo (Samantha), Keith Wilson (Sheila), Scott Wilson (Kristy), Kevin Wilson (Dana); daughter, Beth Ritchie; brothers, John Mozingo, Rhoda B. Mozingo, Harold Mozingo; sister, Betty Ann Mayes; grandchildren, Crystal, Rhoade, Emily, Spencer, Elvis, Jr., Tia, Candi, Jay, Sadie, Amelia, Micaela, Morgan, Kayleigh, Brent, Sara, Ava, Caleb, and Daniel; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with Rev. Lee Farmer officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the staff at Hospice of Virginia for their dedicated and loving care of Junior.
