Obituary for Henrietta G. Bradley (Butt)
Henrietta G. Bradley, 88, of Lottsburg, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born and raised on her family farm in Potomac, Maryland.
She loved keeping her home beautiful. Henrietta also enjoyed restoring furniture and collected handmade Afghan quilts and lamps. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and always had at least one at all times. Henrietta was known as a hard worker and for being kind to everyone she met.
Henrietta was predeceased by her father, Ervin S. Butt; mother, Cora Shaw Butt; step-mother, Elsie Butt; brother, Lee Butt; and sister, Daisy Jenkins.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Donald R. Bradley; son, Donald L. Bradley (Linda); sisters, Elnora Caudell (Bill) and Shirley Butt Molitor; her beloved grandchildren, Rebekah Bradley Ray (Noah) and Jake Bradley; and her dogs, Foxy and Rascal.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Reamy officiating. The family will have a reception following Henrietta's service at Nino's Restaurant in Callao. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you honor Henrietta's love of animals by making a memorial contribution in her memory to the Northumberland County Animal Shelter at PO Box 305, Heathsville, VA 22473.
