David “Dave” D. Williams, 72, of Warsaw, Virginia, passed away Friday, November 1, 2018. Dave was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith L. Williams, and his parents, Lyle L. Williams and Mildred Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer McCaleb and husband, Richard; daughter, Erin Taliaferro and husband, Daniel; and six loving grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob McCaleb, and Bella, Padgett, Delancey, and Hawkins Taliaferro.

For over 25 years, Dave served in both the Richmond County and the Essex County school systems. He taught physical education and math, and spent many years on the football coaching staff. Dave was a devoted member of the Rappahannock Church of Christ. In his spare time, Dave was on a field…any field where his grandchildren were playing sports. He also enjoyed spending time with family at his home, reading mystery novels, participating in his local Knights of Columbus chapter, and watching football with his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Rappahannock Church of Christ, 4324 Richmond Road, Warsaw, VA 22572. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
