Alde Wilkins Clarke, 90, of Farnham, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018. She was a devoted mother and grandmother as well as a faithful member of Oakland United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school in her earlier days. Employed by Levi Strauss as an inspector for 30+ years. After her retirement, Alde operated a flea market stall for many years, and volunteered at The Haven and Carter Adventist Church Center. She was an avid cook with a collection of over 500 cookbooks and loved to garden and travel. Alde especially cherished the memories made on her trips to Italy and Bermuda.

She is survived by her daughter, Bettie C. Musso of Stratford Harbour, Montross; sons, Louis Donnie Clarke and John Douglas Clarke, Sr. both of Farnham; grandchildren, Gregory Allan Gruner (Terry), Angelia Dawn and John D. Clarke, Jr. (Terri) and great-grandchildren, Liam Gruner and Maggie Louise Clarke.

Alde was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Kenneth Wilkins and Elsie Haven King Wilkins; husband, Louis Calvin Clarke and son-in-law, Trevor Musso.

A memorial service will be held at Oakland United Methodist Church, 3223 Oakland Rd, Farnham, VA 22460 on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Life at Noon. The Reverend Ken Hanson will be officiating.
