Ruby C. Martin, 92, of Haynesville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2018. She was the widow of Lawrence B. Martin. Ruby was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church and looked forward to each Sunday, to Sunday school and worship service. Ruby loved the ladies in her Sunday School Class.
Ruby was the daughter of the late Joyce B. Clark, Sr. and Indiana T. Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, J.B. Clark, Jr., and her son, Joseph B.”Baby Joe” Thrift, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Joyce Jean Hudson; daughter-in-law, Olive Jeane Thrift; a dear sister, Shirley C. Clark; grandchildren, Daphne T. Winebarger (Michael), Charles “Chuck” K. Newsome and Crystal Thomas (Ted); great-grandchildren, Jacob Winebarger, Haley and Hunter Newsome, and Britney and Cassie Thomas; and nephews, John Clark (Karen), Ronnie Clark (Alice) and Bruce M. Clark (Mandy).
Along with her family Ruby is also survived by her dear friends, Eileen Landman with whom she visited shut-ins each week on Tuesdays, bringing happiness with each visit; and also her dear friend Louise Withers.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Totuskey Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at 1 p.m.
