Obituary for Robert Eugene Anderson

Robert Eugene Anderson “Bob”

Robert Eugene Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Centreville, Virginia on June 9, 2018 at the age of 87 years. After serving in Japan and Korea during the Korean War, Bob became a diesel mechanic and worked in the construction industry. He retired in 1999 as Vice President and part owner of Air Power, where he had worked for over 30 years.

Bob especially enjoyed waterskiing, fishing, traveling, and the company of family and friends. He was active for many years in the Boy Scouts of America and supported his children’s crew team at Thomas Jefferson High School.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Deane, his son Kevin Anderson, daughters Donna Blade and Jennifer Anderson, granddaughters Monica Clagg, Melissa Brown, Christina Heydecke and Kate Freeman, great-grandson Levi Heydecke, and brothers August Anderson and James Anderson.

A visitation service will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, June 14th at Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax, Virginia. The funeral services will take place at Coan Baptist Church in Heathsville, Virginia on Saturday, June 16th. Visitation will start at 1 pm and the service will begin at 2 pm. A reception will be held at the church following the services.
