Wesley Hayden Rice, age 80, of Lottsburg, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Keyser Brothers Seafood and retired after 60 years of service. Wesley loved racing boats, fishing, and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Cole Rice; one son, William “Billy” Hayden Rice; one daughter, Tammy Rice Wilkins (Chuck); three grandchildren, Amanda W. Pratt (Mike), Chad Wesley Rice (Michelle) and Charles “Andrew” Wilkins (Laura); two great-grandchildren, Austin Wilkins and Hayden Pratt; a sister, Lois Fones; a brother, Danny Rice, and a sister-in-law, Doris Westman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Myrtle Rice.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with Rev. Lee Farmer officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
