Obituary for Joseph Martin Lackey

Joseph Martin Lackey, Jr., age 73, of Warsaw, formerly of Brooklyn, New York and Carney’s Point, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. He retired in 1999 from PSE&G Nuclear after 32 years of dedicated service.

Joseph was a Navy Veteran, a member of the Moose Lodge, and a former NASCAR Pit Crew member. He enjoyed camping and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by a son, Mark Lackey (Lori) of Pennsville, New Jersey; two daughters, AnnMarie Lackey of Warsaw, and Kimberly Fischer (Scott) of Stafford; a sister, Veronica Michel (James) of Callao and their sons, Jay Michel of Suttercreek, California and David Michel of Jacksonville, Florida; and three grandchildren, Christina Lackey (Kythe Rogers) of New Holland, Pennsylvania, Kate Lynn Lackey and Jake Lackey, both of Pennsville, New Jersey; as well as numerous other extended family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Sellers Lackey; and his parents, Joseph Martin Lackey, Sr. and Genevieve Gurnell Lackey.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Veterans’ charity of your choice.
