Robert “Bobby” Edward Douglas, Sr., 83, of Callao, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Annie Gray Douglas; son, Eddie Douglas (Sonya); daughter, Angie Douglas (Chris); grandsons, Ronald Douglas (Dawn) and Chris Douglas (Shannon); granddaughter, Sara Morse (Matt); great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ryleigh, Brodey, Kolbey, and Shane; and a sister, Emma Geraldine Douglas Overstreet (Charlie). He also leaves behind his furbabies Toby and Lucky, which he adored.

He is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Wray Douglas; his father and mother, Beale Fairfax Douglas and Addie Jones Douglas; a sister, Doris Douglas Vanlandingham Purcell; and a brother, William Beale Douglas.

Bobby was a retired employee of Verizon and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and his family.

Bobby will be greatly missed by all…until we meet again.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel.
