Robert Beacham Delano, age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Robert was a retired Parts Manager for Northern Neck Chevrolet and was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jones Delano.

He is survived by a brother-in-law, C.T. Jones, Jr. (Kathy) of Montross; a sister-in-law, Gwynne Chatham (Kenney) of Montross; and their children, Ken Chatham, II and Tiffany Chatham; a half-brother, William J. “Billy” Beacham and family of Hague; a half-sister, Sharon Beacham Dawson and family of Callao; two nieces, Terry Lyons Mager and family of Disputanna and Margaret Lyons and family of Richmond; a nephew, Troy A. Bolling of Richmond; and beloved pets, Duke and Daisy Mae.

The family expresses a special thank you to Robert’s caregiver and Duke’s buddy, Sharon Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Pastor Denise Marth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.

In lieu of flowers Robert and Bonnie would be very happy for people to help animals by giving them a home or making donations to help animals.
