Tina Paul Jones of Kinsale, Virginia, formerly of Greensboro, North Carolina died August 27, 2017 of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Tina was a native North Carolinian whose career life was in non-profit. She was a co-founder of the agency providing services to the elderly in Guilford County, NC. She then became a regional Director with the American Cancer Society and was a member of many non-profit boards of director.
She was a skilled fundraiser, responsible for bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars for the charitable organizations for which she worked.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and her beloved son William Paul Jones.
Left to mourn her loss is her wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Cole van Fossen, her loving partner for over 20 years, and their faithful dogs Scout and Baby.
Other survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Jones Brown (Tom) of Wilmington, NC; sons A.D. Jones III and Andrew G. Jones (Rebecca) of Greensboro, NC; and Nicholas M. Jones (Anita) and step-granddaughter, Harper of Washington, DC; her granddaughter Zoe Elois Jones and her mother, Shannon Ivey Jones of Columbia, SC.
In addition to cousins, Tina is survived by many special friends, among them Linda Phillips of New Market, MD and Julie Peck of Ludlow, MA.
