Esther Packett Elliott, age 93, of Warsaw, passed away on August 18, 2016. She was born on April 22, 1923 and was the youngest child of Emory and Ella Packett.
She is survived by husband W. Edward Elliott; a son, William Elliott, Jr. and his wife, Donna; and a grandson, Jacob Elliott. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard, Louise, Mabel, Gertrude, Randolph, Russell, Mae and Ralph.
During World War II Esther lived with her brother Russell and worked at International Association of Machinists in Washington, D. C. After the war, she moved back to Warsaw. She and Edward were married in January of 1948 and celebrated 68 wonderful years together. Esther worked for her uncle, Arthur Delano, at his International Harvester tractor dealership in Warsaw. Later, she worked for Dinsmore Automotive and John Elliott Automotive before retiring.
A funeral service will be held at Cobham Park Baptist Church in Warsaw on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm, with the Pastor Donald Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Warsaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Marks Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home, Warsaw.
