Frances Stevens Purcell Isbell, 91 of Fredericksburg, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, a beautician, and sales clerk at Montaldos Dept. Store She is survived by sons, Raymond W. Purcell of Callao and Steven W. Purcell (Kathy) of Mt. Holly, VA; daughter, Bonnie Grimstead of Warsaw; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Purcell and Lemuel Isbell; daughter, Janet Park,; brothers, Eugene, Woodrow, Millard and Earl Stevens; and sisters, Mary Vanlandingham, Evelyn Brann, Hallie Stevens and Eleanor Douglas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross, VA. Interment will follow at Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery, Village, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.
