Norris Alfred Self, 82, of Montross went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was a self employed waterman and a member of Nomini Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Sanford Self; brother, Daniel Self of Montross; and sisters, Dorethia S. Minor (Bobby) of Warsaw, and Myrteen S. Arbogast of Timberville, VA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Evelyn Self; brothers, Kenneth Self, Deems Self, George Self, Gilbert Self, Monroe Self and Lawrence Self, and a sister Norma Dee Bowen.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Nomini Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Nomini Baptist Church. Interment will be in Nomini Baptist Cemetery following the service.
